Discussing Consciousness

Two white male friends in their twenties where Kyokushin Gi's are sitting in the kitchen of a dimly lit apartment eating pizza and drinking beer, the hanging light above the table acting as almost a spotlight. Friend 1 says "Dude, honestly, I think consciousness is just a ever changing frequency of timelines that are impacted by the decisions we make and the things that happen to us." Friend 2 says... "Bro.. honestly, you might be right. I have almost died multiple times and some lucky occurance kept me safe" Friend 1 says "Exactly. What if your timeline just shifted to one where you survived, but you died on the other timeline?" Friend 2 says ... "I think we just solved the meaning of life..." A long pause filled with tension fills the air, background Honkyoku japanese music featuring a bamboo flute fades in, the two friends staring deeply into each others eyes until finally, in unison, the two friends both loudly shout the "Osu!" in unison, the heartbeat of Kyokushin Karate. As the background Honkyoku japanese music featuring a bamboo flute fades out, Friend 2 then says "I can't believe they forgot to give us the garlic sauce... this is bullshit." and he throws his pizza at the wall.
