Cast and character identity

Make the cast part of the story.

A character is more than a description you repeat. Build an identity, review their appearance, and use approved images to guide the footage. Spend your attention on what they do next.

01

Cast someone real or imagined

Develop a generated character or work from photos of yourself, friends or actors you have permission to use. Review the identity before it becomes part of a scene.

Start with a clear identity image, then refine appearance and wardrobe.

02

Keep an identity to return to

Saved cast gives you a starting point for another story. Within a project, approved references help guide the character as the location, action and camera framing change.

Reuse the cast for a new episode instead of defining everyone again.

03

Direct the person in the moment

Shape appearance and scene direction, compare the generated takes, and use a reference-led edit when a particular section needs closer attention.

Correct an appearance in the selected shot while keeping the surrounding cut.

Questions worth asking.

See plans and credit details →
Can I put myself or an actor in the film?

Yes, using reference images you have permission to use. The reference helps guide the generated character. Review the likeness in each take before sharing the finished film.

Can I reuse characters in another story?

Yes. Save approved cast identities and select them when building another story. Scene-specific direction can still be refined for the new project.

Will the character look exactly the same in every shot?

Generation can vary. Shared identity references help guide consistency, while take selection and targeted edits give you ways to refine the result.
