CORE PIPELINE LAYER

BioFrame™

Human Translation

Intelligence you can actually read.

“The best intelligence is useless if the creator can't understand it.”

What This Layer Does

BioFrame translates machine-generated cinematic reasoning into clear, human-readable direction that creators can review, understand, and act on. It produces the Director's Briefing, the generation readiness scoring with explainable breakdowns, the tips for improving output quality, and the warnings about elements AI may struggle with.

BioFrame is the trust layer. It takes the complex multi-dimensional shot specifications from DirectorLogic and presents them in language a filmmaker understands: not raw JSON, but structured creative guidance. The readiness score breakdown (+20 for clear setting, -40 for additional actions, +5 for clear narrative intent) gives creators specific, actionable feedback on how to improve their story's compilability.

This layer also generates the Director's Notes that appear throughout the wizard and Director Output — the contextual coaching that makes StoryDirector feel like a collaborator rather than a tool.

Engine Output Example

BIOFRAME — Director's Briefing
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Generation Readiness: Strong (Score: 82)

Score Breakdown:
+20 Clear setting identified (desert road, eastern Syria)
+20 Identified subject (2 cast members detected)
  +20 Clear primary action
  +15 Time context established (night)
-10 1 additional action per scene (may confuse generation)
  +5 Clear narrative intent
+3 Narrative continuity (temporal progression, causal linkage)
  +3 Explicit anchoring present
-60 4 additional locations (increases consistency risk)

Tips for This Story:
  1. Lock your visual style before generating — handheld + night
requires consistent grain and shadow treatment
  2. Generate scenes in order — continuity anchors reference
     previous shot exit frames
  3. Use consistent seeds across the convoy interior shots

Elements AI May Struggle With:
⚠ Night desert lighting with headlight contrast
→ Solution: Generate test frame first, lock visual reference
⚠ Multiple vehicles maintaining spatial consistency
→ Solution: Establish convoy composition in Scene 1, reference

Why This Matters

Director's Notes

Most AI tools are black boxes. You put text in, you get output out, and you have no idea why it chose what it chose. BioFrame makes StoryDirector's reasoning transparent. Every score has an explanation. Every tip is specific. Every warning comes with a solution. This builds trust — and trust determines whether a professional filmmaker integrates a tool into their workflow or abandons it after one session.
